PARALEGAL/LEGAL ASSISTANT

We are a family oriented entrepreneurial law firm with a mission of making the lives of families and small business owners better and we are seeking a sharp, driven, friendly paralegal or legal assistant to become part of our team for the long-term.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing legal documents related to estate planning and business planning, including wills, trusts, partnership agreements and corporate documents.

Assist with estate and trust administration, including preparation of pleadings, inventories and accountings.

Conduct legal research and analysis to support attorneys in case preparation.

Maintain and organize client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, answer inquiries, and provide updates on case progress.

Coordinate appointments, meetings and court appearances for attorneys.

Assist in the drafting and editing of legal correspondence and reports.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow and provide excellent client service.

Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to estate planning and business planning.

Qualifications

Paralegal certification or relevant legal assistant experience.

Strong knowledge of estate planning and business planning concepts and procedures.

Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in legal research and document management software.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment;

Empathy, compassion, and a client-centered approach to legal assistance.

Full and part-time positions available. Salary negotiable based on experience. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand holding. There is an opportunity for bonus compensation and benefits.
